Inspiration

Jacquelyn Dahneke Penrose was her family’s first runner, perhaps inspired by beginning life in the city of Boston. Years before she joined her cross-country and track teams in Middle School, Jacquelyn spent many childhood moments toddling around the beloved Make Way for Ducklings statues at the Boston Public Garden with her parents, Marshall and Michelle Dahneke. The impact of her positivity, light and warmth are the inspiration for this book.
